Corolla/Celica to 1UZ Motor Mount Brackets - TE and AE
If you want to run a 1UZ V8 in your Corolla, these motor mount brackets will do the job. We've made them 1/4" steel, formed and fixture welded to match the AE86 rack and pinion type front cross member without the use of rubber mounts to the cross member. The motor is pretty tight fit and you won't want it moving around.
These are SOLID mounts. We've also included all the bolts for the brackets to the block and to the cross member.
The Corolla wasn't made to fit a 1UZ V8, our test car had no power brake booster and custom headers. Modifications will need to be made to fit this motor. The test fit on the TE-72 chassis was able to fit under the stock hood with some trimming of the under hood bracing and the removal of some of the 1UZ emissions vacuum lines.
The lower profile of the AE hood will not fit without cross member spacers and/or intake modifications and transmission tunnel modifications.
The motor installed pic is in a TE-72 without sub frame spacers.
