E36/E46 M3 Diff Cover Washer Upgrade Kit

Overview

This upgrade kit is for all E36 and E46 M3 running our polyurethane 80A or 95A differential cover bushings! Polyurethane bushings are a great upgrade in performance while being compliant enough to be a good compromise on the street. Most race cars and pro level drift cars all run solid differential bushings, just ask our FD driver Rome Charpentier! However, solid bushings might be a little difficult to live with for those who street drive their cars. That's where this upgrade kit comes in to give just a little extra bit of performance over the standard polyurethane differential cover bushings without sacrificing any of the street comfort that we love about polyurethane over solid bushings. Sold as a kit of two, no additional hardware needed to install. Simply remove the bolts from your existing poly diff cover bushings, place the washers in and torque back to spec!

Why should you upgrade to this washer?

We drive our E36 and E46 M3 hard on the race track when we compete in events like Bimmer Challenge and occasional drift days. During hard direction changes, fast and sharp turns, and multiple clutch kicks, a lot of movement and abuse is transferred to the bushings that support the rear differential. After years of abuse, we noticed the polyurethane rear differential cover bushings take a significant amount of stress (the same reason why OEM bushings need to be replaced). To prevent these bushings from slipping out due to repeated force, we designed these cup-shaped washers to reinforce the polyurethane differential cover bushings and keep things nice and tight. These washers are for polyurethane bushings only. Not intended to be used for aluminum and delrin bushings.
